Joe Klein writes about how difficult the situation in Afghanistan is right now.  I hope the Obama administration is realistic about what they can actually get done in Afghanistan.  Transforming it into a democracy and fully functioning member of the international economic community is unfortunately not a realistic medium-term outcome in my opinion.
