All Palin All The Time

I've decided I'm not going to stop posting this stuff until it stops.  I truly hope that will happen sometime around November 4 but that remains to be seen.

What does precondition mean?  Here is a clip where Governor Palin shows she doesn't know the difference between precondition and preparation.  This is an important distinction for a vice-presidential candidate to understand.  Barack Obama has never said he wouldn't prepare for negotiations, he just said he would meet without preconditions.  He says this because he believes Bush administration's policy of demanding preemptive conditions in order to talk has only strengthened the positions of these nations.  Governor Palin is well within her right to argue against this position, but she needs to understand the actual meaning of precondition first.

What does the Vice-President do?  Here is a clip from Chris Matthews' Hardball, where Chris goes crazy about Sarah Palin not understanding the role Vice-President (starts around 3:00).  Sarah Palin says that the Vice President is in "charge" of the senate and "if they want to, they can really get in there with the senators and make a lot of good policy changes..."  No Governor Plain, the role of the Vice President is to break ties in the senate and most importantly to take over for the President if necessary.  Much of this video is of Chris Matthews freaking out, but I found it pretty amusing.  On the other hand, Governor Palin's answer was just plain scary.

Other notes about the video: In the first 3 minutes they discuss the $150,000 clothing allowance the RNC provided to Governor Palin.  I don't think this is a very important issue, but it's mildly entertaining watching the Republican Party deal with this story with less than two weeks remaining in the election.

What is the "Real America"?  Lastly, here is a fantastic video from the Daily Show's Jason Jones who goes to the "Real America." I think the current mayor of Wasilla is looking to become Vice President in 2016.
