As much as I love baseball, I have been a critic of Major League Baseball for years.  I think many unwritten rules are ridiculous and childish (e.g., not being able to bunt for a base hit when a pitcher has a no hitter).  But I must say, I am impressed with the move to bring on instant replay mid-season.  The game has needed this for a long time and it will certainly be an improvement.  I can't believe I'm saying this, but job well done Mr. Selig.  Just like nations, economies, religions, culture, and art - sports should not ignore or deny modernity, it should embrace it.
