Just behind heart disease, Cancer is the second leading cause of death in the US killing over 550,000 people per year (~23% of all deaths). Until there is a cure, more funding for research is needed. I watch Jimmy V's speech a couple times a year and every time I do, I'm amazed at how powerful it is. The ESPYs are usually pretty boring, but his speech at the 1st ESPY Awards show will go down as one of the greats.
