No matter what either candidate says on the stump, it's becoming clear that the Federal debt will continue to increase with the next administration no matter who wins the election. Both candidates either come up with funny math to explain how they will "pay" for new services or tax relief - or they just remain sufficiently vague to keep the focus away from the details. I'm assuming that federal budget responsibility just doesn't bring in the votes compared to things like "Lowering the price of gas", "Leaving/staying in Iraq", and "Improving and expanding healthcare." 

In a related matter, Ross Perot is completely ticked off at everyone and has launched his own website with charts "to provide accurate information to every citizen about the serious economic problems facing our country."  I was wondering when Mr. Perot was going to pop up again.
