A couple of weeks ago, I was planning to write about the "Gas-Tax Holiday" proposed by John McCain and supported by Hillary Clinton. After some time has passed, however, I've decided the media has really covered all the bases. The proposal is economically illogical no matter where you fall on the political spectrum, it won't materially change anything other than our Federal budget deficit (negatively), and quite frankly, it's insulting. It's pandering in its purest form. Rather than discuss any further, I'll just say I agree with Mike Bloomberg's take.
